Merdeka is a time to celebrate the spirit, diversity and togetherness that make Malaysia special. On 31st August 2026, Wyndham Acmar Klang brought that spirit to life with a fun-filled talent show that put the spotlight on some of our youngest stars.

The Performances
Following the opening act, the stage came alive as talented kids stepped up to showcase their unique capabilities. From singing and dancing to martial arts, each and every participant brought incredible energy to the stage and truly shined in their own spotlight.
A Showcase of Vocal Talents
Vocal performances played a massive role in bringing the festive Merdeka theme to life. The main stage provided a grand, colorful backdrop as young singers confidently took the microphone to share their favorite melodies. Dressed in beautiful traditional attire that mirrored the patriotic spirit of the national decorations, each vocal act added a wonderful layer of energy, heart, and joy to the celebration.

Confidence and Creative Artistry
Beyond musical acts, the event gave children a wonderful platform to express their national pride through spoken-word presentations and public speaking. The dedication of the participants and their families shined through in the elaborate, handcrafted patriotic costumes worn on stage. Incorporating iconic landmarks like the Petronas Twin Towers and historical imagery, these presentations beautifully combined confident storytelling with wearable art.
Energy and Expressive Dance
The celebration reached a high note with the dynamic routines in our dance category. The young dancers brought incredible energy to the stage, blending rhythmic movement with energetic choreography. Waving miniature national flags and incorporating patriotic elements into their fast-paced performances, these participants had the audience clapping along and truly captured the joyful, celebratory spirit of the day.

With the main competition completed, the excitement continued with an incredible guest performance. Their showcase kept everyone thoroughly entertained while the judges finalized the scoring behind the scenes.

The Buffet
To complement the morning’s excitement, guests have the option to eat at our delightful Merdeka High Tea buffet. While the performances were ongoing, families and supporters could relax and indulge in a wonderful array of local delicacies, making the celebration a true feast for both the eyes and the palate.
The Closing
Following the guest performance, the event came to a joyful close with our highly anticipated award ceremony. Alongside celebrating our category winners, we were thrilled to present beautiful participation trophies to every single child. Seeing the proud smiles on all their faces was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
